Inclusion. Belonging. Cultural competency. Empathetic allyship. DEI.
There are many labels for helping people from all walks of life thrive at work—and even more ways to turn that ambition into reality. Whether you’re looking for a thought partner, a strategist, a facilitator, an instructional designer, or a producer of award-winning workplace culture content, I can help you explore the most effective and creative ways to make your organization more human-centered in this era of DEI backlash.
My subject matter expertise in this space is driven by the deeply held belief that everyone has something valuable to contribute. And when we all commit to doing our part, we collectively lighten the load traditionally shouldered by those from historically marginalized backgrounds. This cuts across many dimensions of diversity, including but not limited to: ability, addiction recovery status, age, body size, chronic illness, culture, education level, ethnicity, experience with domestic violence, experience with trauma, family or caregiver status, gender, immigration status, military status, neurodiversity, prior arrest record, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
When we recognize that addressing issues faced by those most impacted due to barriers to inclusion and belonging benefit all of us, directly affecting many of the people we personally care about, everyone can share in the pride of making progress. With each step, we make room for more of our colleagues to succeed and we increase our resources—our human resources—that result in the innovative thinking and problem-solving critical to transformative teamwork.

ABOUT ME
THIS IS MY WHY
I go by she/her pronouns and am a Filipina American author, educator, speaker, strategist, and changemaker in the DEAI space with a track record for producing award-winning work. As a neurodivergent multihyphenate named to Diversity Woman Media’s Power 100 List and a Board Member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, I play key roles in expanding representation in the media and amplifying underrepresented voices. Throughout my career, I have championed inclusive practices across a range of industries, from education to entertainment to HR to real estate to nonprofits to health and wellness.
A survivor of childhood sexual assault, I intentionally draw from my lived experiences of inhabiting multiple marginalized identities to think critically about power dynamics, perspectives that may be missing from decision-making, and the people or groups most impacted by policies. As an advocate for disability inclusion, I have been quoted in The New York Times speaking out on behalf of parents of children with special needs.
I am a co-author of Racial Justice at Work: Practical Solutions for Systemic Change, a book that I produced with DEI legend Mary-Frances Winters and the global thought leaders on The Winters Group Team. That title inspired a companion podcast series that I co-hosted on The Inclusion Solution LIVE and also led to the founding of the Racial Justice at Work Summit, an award-winning, multiday event I helped produce by arranging keynotes from celebrated authors and activists such as Dr. Ibram X. Kendi of How to Be an Antiracist, Dr. Ruha Benjamin of Race After Technology, blind content creator and inclusivity advocate Molly Burke, and Rob Smith of The Phluid Project, the world's first gender-neutral store.
My editorial background includes increasing coverage of women of color as an editor at Shape magazine and creating the first inclusive content guide for Static Media. I have also reported on health and lifestyle topics for Self, Seventeen, Weight Watchers, and Women's Health. As a speaker and moderator focused on issues related to inclusive communication and mitigating bias, I have appeared at The Forum on Workplace Inclusion, the Racial Justice at Work Summit, New York University's Summer Publishing Institute, and the American Society of Journalists and Authors Conference.
I am a Certified Facilitator for Engaging in Bold, Inclusive Conversations® and a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory®.
